Pictorial with David Garrard.

Astor & Black had a fantastic opportunity to hang with David Garrard of the Jacksonville Jaguars for a day to get an inside look at his home, his style, and his life.

We begin in DG’s closet to put together his look for this shoot. Stepping into his amazing walk-in closet, the first thing we notice is his collection of Astor & Black suits hanging neatly together in a section all their own. Blues, purples, browns, and a splendid seersucker that inspired us to take the shoot to the water.

David’s appreciation for the finer things in life is obvious as he slips into his first change of clothing.  We get a real sense of how he does custom; jackets tailored close to the body and a pant style with some room to move, a trend we’re seen pop up on the fashion blogs this season.  First up is a summer weight light blue jacket with navy trouser and pink shirt and tie, perfect for any summer social function in Florida.

Changing into a more casual weekend look with a tan linen military jacket and jeans, we then move to the Garrard’s boat, so aptly named Hail Mary, honoring both his wife and his love of the game.

We can’t resist adding a punch of color to his traditional seersucker jacket and tan trouser with an orange tie and shoes.  As we wrap up the day, Mary and David discuss dinner plans at a local waterfront restaurant that is just a short boat ride away.

Here we see how David spends his free time to rest and relax, out on the boat with friends and family, watching the sun set on the horizon and planning his next grand adventure.

These are wonderful colors and a perfect fit on the jacket. This is a real challenge, especially when dealing with top athletes like Mr.Garrard, who have such a muscular frame, which is quite difficult to clothe with with such an elegant drape.
Love the details and the inspired Spezzatura.
Mr. Garrard is a man of subtle elegance and nonchalant style.
    Kudos to you sir!
