Remembering Derek Boogaard.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, teammates and fans of our friend, Mr. Derek Boogaard, who has passed away unexpectedly at the far-too-young age of 28.

“Derek was such an awesome person; the nicest guy with the biggest heart!” says New York representative, Jessica Peters. “I’ll never forget the time we shared together. He always made me laugh and smile–always wanted the best for everyone around him. Derek kept it real, and I will forever miss him.”

This is so sad. When I heard the news I was shocked! He was far too young! My thought and prayers go out to his family and the staff at A&B who assisted him.

The ancient Greeks rarely wrote eulogies, rather they asked upon a men passing: ” Did he live with Passion?”
Whilst I never met this young gentleman, according to what I read on the news reports, he was one who lived and played with great enthusiasm for life.

If this was his destiny , to be taken so early in his young life, the echoes of what he did before his passing speak of a man who lived life with passion, this gift of life was not wasted upon him.

We will mourn his passing and we will celebrate his life with fond memories of his exploits.
Our heartfelt condolences go to his family and friends who suffered such a loss.
